The atemoya (Annona squamosa × cherimola) is a cross between the cherimoya and zoetzak, in 1908 in Miami (Florida) is created. It is up to 9 meters high, evergreen tree with short trunk and overhanging branches.
The alternately arranged leaves are oval, leathery, 12 to 15 cm long and 7 cm wide. The long-stemmed yellow flowers are 5 cm wide.
